About me

Christina Johnson BSPH, CBD, CPD, CCLS, CLC, IBCLC. I am a mother of two. I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Public Health from Wayne State University in 2018. I became a Certified Lactation Counselor in 2018, completed the Clinical and Communication Lactation Specialist training in 2021, and then passed the International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant exam in 2023. I'm certified as a birth and postpartum doula by Lifespan Doulas. Love for my own family and my community has led me to focus on health education, promoting awareness of human lactation, and assisting in extending breastfeeding duration and exclusivity for the families I serve. I am passionate about accessible lactation care and enthusiastic about health and wellness promotion and youth development. My goal is simply to aid others in being healthy and keeping their family healthy. My expertise is in maternal and child health, emphasizing a positive breastfeeding experience and an active family lifestyle. I love to support parents in reaching their breastfeeding goals and guiding them when life circumstances limit their breastfeeding goals. The combination of these values led me to launch Lactation Lighthouse.

I worked with Christina five years ago to assist my three month premature baby to go from bottle to breast. We had successful weighted feeds and I was able to breastfeed my former 27 weeker premature baby for 2 and a half years. She's kind, has a gentle approach to breastfeeding and when she dedicates her time to you, she dedicates it well. Defintely hire her!

I'm really so happy we got Christina Johnson to help my breastfed baby with bottle training. She takes the breastmilk with the recommended bottle so well and so fast. Your recommendation + suggested schedule has changed our lives. I'm so excited because it looks like she will be completely bottle trained in just a few days from now.
