Chaka is a Birth and Postpartum Doula, Newborn Care Specialist, Certified Lactation Counselor and a Placenta Encapsulation Specialist who has been supporting families in the Western Suburbs since 2014. She believes in informing, empowering and supporting families prenatally, during birth and postnatally. Her passion for birth work started when she was looking for a doula for the birth of her second child. After working with her birth clients, she realized the need and importance of also providing postpartum support. Chaka enjoys working with all family types and sizes and specializes in the care of families with multiples.

As a Birth Doula, I am dedicated to supporting you during one of life’s most profound experiences. Together, we’ll discuss your birth preferences and create a plan to ensure you feel empowered and prepared. During labor, I provide continuous physical and emotional support, helping you manage labor with techniques such as position changes, relaxation, breathing, massage, hydrotherapy, and vocalization. I also assist with breastfeeding and offer relief and reassurance for your partner, ensuring they feel supported as well. As a Postpartum Doula and Newborn Care Specialist, I offer overnight newborn care to help you navigate the early weeks a d months. My services include diapering, feeding, soothing techniques, and sleep shaping. I provide breastfeeding support and help with household organization, including infant laundry, tidying the nursery, and washing bottles and pump parts. Whether you’re preparing for birth or adjusting to life with a newborn, my goal is to provide personalized care, guidance, and peace of mind for you and your family.
