I never knew I needed a doula until I had one. My first delivery was over 9 years ago and I truly wished I would of had Celeste by my side. As a first time mom then, I know she would of given me the emotional support and information I needed in order to have a smooth pregnancy and delivery. With Celeste by my side, my second pregnancy was a breeze. She was with me during my entire pregnancy and gave me all the information and support to ensure I was ready for the big day. She was always available to answer questions and followed up frequently. To this day Celeste is still helping me with my breastfeeding journey. I was never educated on what exactly a doula is and what services they offer. I was stressed out I couldn’t even enjoy my pregnancy since my OBGYN didn’t respect my needs and birth plan. Every visit I was drilled to have a C-section which made me uncomfortable. I didn’t even enjoy my pregnancy with the thought of a C-section in the back of my mind. My daughters god mother recommend having a doula during my pregnancy journey. She explained to me what services doulas offer along with her doulas contact information which happens to be Celeste . I than made the choice to have a midwife instead of a Obgyn and I couldn't be happier to know my doula supported my decision that worked best for my needs. I have a 4 year old who has speech delay knowing a CSection was not in my plan due since healing time will take alot longer to help my son with his needs. So Celeste made sure Im doing everything possible for a VBAC birthing plan per my request . Celeste has not only coached me with great exercises and diet but she gave me so much positivity to enjoy my pregnancy journey. She’s always checking up on me and making sure my birthing journey is calm and enjoyable. I couldn’t thank Celeste enough all my OBGYN stressed me out with was having a C-section. Which to me made no sense since there’s nothing medically wrong with me. But i encourage alot of moms to hire Celeste as there doula because you will have someone who will support and advocate for you and your baby! Lastly My husband loves that Celeste will also include him during my pregnancy journey and answers all of his questions and concerns as a dad. She makes sure both parents are ok and I’m so happy to see my husband so involved.
