1.) Ideally I’d like to find a good birth center, if not then I’d be just as happy to do it at home too. Definitely not hospital. 2.) Not sure on budget this is our first, so we’re not familiar with the prices that can be confirmed after getting some ideas. 3.) I want a midwife that understands my needs and boundaries and is knowledgeable in helping me to have the most natural/herb centered pregnancy and birth I can. I’m looking for someone that supports and teaches me and my beliefs. Women that understand the need for space and instinct during birth process and don’t pressure me or smother me (my sister has had that experience). Just a friend to lean on and learn from as I have no one near me who has the same birth beliefs as I, it would be so special! I’d like to prevent any hospital visits altogether so someone that is equipped to do check-ups from their home or mine.

I am looking for someone who can support me mentally and physically who also has our back with making sure the staff are following our plan as well as keeping us safe. My husband is an amazing support but this is our first time! We plan on giving birth at Methodist downtown. I want a natural birth with cord clamping (but can keep an epidural in mind as well). We are willing to pay between $800-$1000.

I am pregnant with twins and plan to give birth at Trinity in Bettendorf. My insurance covers up to $1,000 in doula expenses and I am interested in finding a postpartum doula for when we return home. The twins will reach 40 weeks on August 22 but my OB said that if I hit 38 weeks, I will be induced. If both twins are positioned correctly, I plan on delivering vaginally but may have to have a c-section.
