About me

Cayla is a certified sleep specialist, certified parent educator, and mom of three busy kids. You may know her as @OfficialSleepingBeauties on social media. Cayla has a passion for educating and empowering parents like you on your journey to find better sleep without sleep training. After struggling with her own babies’ sleep, she’s become hyper-focused on helping parents find the middle ground between cry-it-out and wait-it-out approaches. Having experienced the impacts of sleep training in her own home, Cayla takes a non-judgemental approach that is tailored to a child’s temperament and development, with a holistic lens that considers every facet of a child’s life. She’s a big believer in having your cake and eating it, too: you can be a responsive caregiver, tending to your child with a focus on their attachment needs, while still setting boundaries and making changes that allow you to function and care for yourself, too. YOU are the expert on your baby, and she is here to help you find creative solutions that meet your family’s unique needs. BONUS: I work with adult sleep, too! If you’re struggling with your own sleep, please feel free to reach out as well.

Basic Sleep Coaching
As a new parent, the learning curve is steep. How do you foster healthy sleep habits and ensure your child feels supported? I’m here to help. Basic Sleep Coaching is all you need to get things on the right track if your baby is under 9 months of age, when it is still normal for sleep to be interrupted. Basic Sleep Coaching will help to ensure you have the tools necessary to understand, and to respond appropriately to, your child’s sleep needs, without ever leaving your child alone to cry. Comprehensive Sleep Coaching is recommended for children over 9 months of age. If your child is over 9 months, and you are facing minimal sleep challenges that do not require comprehensive or ongoing support, Basic Sleep Coaching can be customized for your family. If you are unsure of which service best meets your needs, book a free discovery call. What’s included: * A basic intake form to understand your child’s sleep and feeding patterns * A 60 minute sleep education call to discuss: sleep environment; infant feeding; nap schedules and best practices; emotional wellness; sleep science as it relates to ‘normal’ infant sleep at various stages; and the elements necessary for good sleep hygiene. This education will be tailored to meet the needs of your unique family and baby. * A written summary of the sleep education, including recommendations for next steps. * One 30 minute follow up call to be scheduled anytime in the two weeks following the sleep education call.

Comprehensive Sleep Coaching
Are you struggling with elements of your child’s sleep, and want to get more sleep for you and your family without the use of any sleep training? Every family is unique and no two families have the same goals. Keep the elements of your sleep routines that you love, and I will support you through making changes to the pieces that are no longer working. I always support bedsharing, if you choose to do so, and breastfeeding. This package is right for you if your child is 9 months or older, including toddlers and school-aged children. If your baby is under 9 months of age, and you feel that you would benefit from the comprehensive sleep coaching package, please feel free to reach out to discuss. If you have twins, or a sibling of another age who you would like to work with simultaneously, please also purchase the sibling support, or reach out for a customized support package. While I do my best to respond to emails in a timely matter, please note that packages do not include email support. What’s Included: * A comprehensive analysis of a personal intake, including 3 days of sleep, activity, and food logs. * A 60 minute sleep education virtual session – this includes discussions around ‘normal’, age appropriate sleep and foundations to set you up for success. The result is a customized, and co-created sleep plan tailored to your personal goals, and a written summary of the call with next steps is included. * Three 30 minute check in calls to support the implementation of a sleep plan and to troubleshoot any challenges along the way. * Written sleep work summary that outlines strategies to implement moving forward. * Free access to the “Responsive Parenting for Sleep and Beyond” E Course ($129 value).

Cayla has literally changed my life. I was so stressed about trying to perfect my child’s sleep, but felt horrible about forcing my baby to do something that didn’t feel natural to me. I found Cayla online and not only did she help me feel more confident in my decisions as a parent, but she addresses some underlying issues that were preventing my baby from sleeping well; then helped us find solutions that considered his temperament and our own needs as parents. She is supportive, non-judgemental, and most importantly, great at what she does! Our family is now more well rested, more functional, and more empowered in making changes in our home that consider our needs - all without ever sleep training. I can’t recommend her highly enough!!

. I used to believe they sleep training was the only option but the idea of it never felt right. So we just didn’t sleep. But when I discovered Cayla, that all changed. She is literally a life saver. I can’t recommend her enough!
