I offer birth and postpartum doula support which includes prenatal care, birth prep, postpartum planning, a partner support guide, unlimited text/call support, a backup doula and continued check ins throughout your postpartum journey.
Our pregnancy was marked as a high-risk pregnancy, and from the start, we knew that we would need to be induced at 37 weeks. Throughout our pregnancy, Bryana was communicative and responsive, addressing any queries we had promptly. At 36 weeks, a mass was discovered on our baby’s upper lip during an ultrasound, which reaffirmed our induction plan with the MFM, OB, and NICU doctors. On the day of our induction, Bryana informed us that she was unwell and arranged for a replacement doula. We appreciated her prioritizing her health, and initially, this was not an issue for us. However, we were surprised to learn that the replacement doula was located in Tacoma, which added significant stress given the notorious traffic between Tacoma and Kirkland. Our labor was lengthy, starting on Wednesday morning and concluding with the birth of our baby on Friday midday. The replacement doula was kind and supportive, visiting us twice during this period, once on Thursday and once on Friday. Nonetheless, the uncertainty of traffic and timing added an additional layer of stress to an already challenging experience. Moreover, we have not heard back from Bryana regarding the postpartum meeting, which was supposed to be scheduled within a few days after delivery. Our baby is now 3.5 weeks old. Although our situation involved a NICU transfer and a scheduled surgery for our baby, we believe a virtual postpartum visit could have been arranged, similar to the pre-birth consultations. Overall, Bryana appears to be a nice person, and our experience might have been a case of unfortunate timing and a highly complex situation. Thus, it is difficult to provide a solid feedback on her services as our direct interaction with her was limited.

Bryana was hired to be our Doula for our first baby. Going into my first pregnancy I was extremely nervous about pregnancy, birth, and the newborn phase. Bryana was someone that we met through friends prior to pregnancy and she was someone that stood out as extremely knowledgable about all things baby. So when I reached out to her for doula services, I already knew she was going to be the perfect fit. During pregnancy, she was extremely supportive, asked what was most important to me, and really helped educate me to prepare me for birth. When I started having contractions, she was ready to be on her way as soon as I gave her the word and ended up spending about 12+ hours at our home through the entire labor and delivery. During her time at our house I felt comfortable and confident. She helped with positioning and also helped my husband in the areas he wasn't the best at such as words of affirmation and of course just labor knowledge. Bryana provided us post partum support as well. She was over the next day and the day after that. She provided meals and swung by other post partum supplies that were really helpful. She was only a text away when I needed someone to talk me off a cliff in those early new mom moments. I recommend Bryana to everyone. She is calm, collected, and full of information. I will never have a baby without her!!
