Hi there! I am a Certified Nurse Midwife, Women's Health Nurse Practitioner and Internationally Board Certified Lactation Consultant. As a woman and a mother of seven, my approach is a simple golden rule care model - I give women the care and experience that I would want as a patient. My role is to partner with and empower women with the tools and personalized care they need to improve their health and well being.

Savita began her own primary care practice in 1992 and has attended over a thousand out-of-hospital births. She holds several professional and advanced certifications and is a student preceptor for her professional organization. Savita served as Treasurer for The Wisconsin Guild of Midwives from 2010 – 2016. I pride myself on giving every one of my clients informed consent, individualized care, and the one on one time every mother deserves. I want all of my clients to feel empowered, safe, and respected. These values are the reason I became a home birth midwife. I wanted to be part of the solution for our broken maternity system and I believe that starts with moms being able to have full body autonomy as well as giving them the education and tools needed to make the best choices for them and their babies!

I am a lifelong Alaskan who discovered my love for birth and women’s health in nursing school. That passion only increased after having my first daughter and from there, I pursued a degree in Nurse Midwifery and Women’s Health as a Nurse Practitioner through Georgetown University. My practice philosophy is that each human has a unique lived experience that impacts their own health in profound ways. Health is not just a physical component but is a holistic blend of body, mind, and spirit to encompass the whole person. My role as a practitioner in their life is to gain understanding of them as a human, respond to questions and curiosities with evidence-based practice, and promote an environment of trust and shared decision-making. When I am not in the clinic or attending births, I love to spend time with my husband and two daughters outside playing in beautiful Alaska!
