Hello! I’m Bex, The IVF Doula. I’m a birth doula based in Hastings, East Sussex. After many years trying to create my own family, I gave birth at home on the sofa to my bouncy, smiley son who was conceived through IVF (and a lot of love). After this experience I trained as a birth doula with Developing Doulas and now spend the majority of my time thinking, talking and breathing all things birth. I work with people across the full range of reproductive experiences, but with a focus on my specialism – working with those who have undergone (or are undergoing) IVF or assisted conception. As a doula I provide unwavering, non-judgemental support, information, resources and advocacy, as well as a healthy dose of help to navigate the many systems you might encounter on your journey. My goal is to support you to feel safe and heard and to ensure that you are able to make informed choices about your care and have these choices respected. I am passionate about ensuring that women and birthing people have full choice and control over what happens to their bodies. I also love teaching all about how amazing the body is to help bust fear and anxiety around birth. Being a doula is the perfect melting pot of all of my passions and experience and is where I combine my obsession with birth and reproductive rights with my many years of experience in trauma-informed advocacy and support for women and birthing people. I bring a gentle, choice-based and feminist approach to birth, as well as strong advocacy skills.

I offer both in-person and remote support to families wishing to feel safe, confident and in control of their care throughout conception, pregnancy, birth and beyond.
