I was born and raised in Asheville, NC and am so proud to call this town my home. I have always had a passion for science and a specific fascination with the human body and its capabilities. In 2013, I graduated from AB-Tech with an associate's degree in Medical Laboratory Technology and in 2019, I graduated from Winston-Salem State University with a bachelor's degree in Clinical Laboratory Science. Having a doula with my third birth made such a difference in my experience that I wanted to shout it from the rooftops. I wanted to share my birth story with everyone I came into contact with and when I realized I could be that difference in other people's stories, I couldn't find doula training fast enough! In September of 2023 I became certified through ProDoula as a birth, postpartum and infant care doula with more to come! I am so excited to bring my support services to my community and create lasting relationships in the process.

My goal is to help expectant parents feel empowered and in control by providing continuous physical, emotional, and educational support throughout the entire journey of becoming a parent. Typically, prenatal support includes two in-person visits where we address the big questions and talk about birth preferences, comfort measures and specific needs. In addition, the birthing person will have an open line of continuous communication for any questions or concerns that come up along the way. No matter where or how you give birth, you deserve to feel safe, respected and confident at all times. My goal is to make sure you go into your birth mentally prepared, physically supported, and feeling like a birthing warrior. Weather it’s a scheduled cesarean section, unmedicated home birth or anything in between, you’ll have a qualified and passionate friend by your side the whole time! The postpartum period is an often overlooked and very vulnerable time for a new parent. My goal here is to offer professional, non-judgmental support as you transition into a new way of life. This will look different for each client and includes but is not limited to newborn care, feeding assistance, sibling care, light housekeeping, emotional support for the new parents, meal prep and other household tasks.
