We plan to give birth at Kaiser Oakland hospital, and we are interested in finding a doula who accepts Kaiser insurance. We are interested in a birth with minimal medication. We are a queer couple (cis woman and trans woman), and would love to work with someone who wants to support queer families.

I’m looking for medical and emotional/spiritual support before and during birth, and support with feeding and just general questions post-birth. I would prefer an at-home birth but I am open to a birthing center. I am 37 and will be 38 at the time of birth and I’ll be a first-time mother. I plan on not using any drugs and I would prefer a tub birth with some candles and Enya and as chill as possible. My budget is pretty much nothing as I’m a returning college student. I have medí-cal so I’m hoping all of my services are covered my that. Thank you for your help!

I am having a c section on October 15, 2025 and would like all doula services focused around lactation and baby bonding support ASAP postpartum. My 1st child had a lip and tongue tie and was 5.5lbs so would fall asleep as soon as he latched. Breastfeeding was very emotional and stressful, ultimately I ended up exclusively pumping. Hi, This is my first pregnancy and I am currently 10 weeks along. I am looking for guidance and support from a doula who can help both my husband and me navigate this journey. I am planning to give birth in a hospital. My goal is to have a natural birth with an epidural. At the same time, I am open to any medical recommendations necessary to ensure the health and safety of both myself and the baby. I would also love to build an ongoing relationship with a doula who can continue to support me during the postpartum period, including education around lactation and breastfeeding. Greetings, My partner Chris and I are just starting our search for a birth doula. This will be our first baby and I have had a healthy pregnancy so far. I'm planning to give birth at Kaiser Oakland with an epidural. I would love to find a doula who has experience with Kaiser and billing as I understand that doulas could be covered by Kaiser. We are still very open minded about birth plan and hope to create this with support of a doula. What I do know is that I would be giving birth in a hospital setting, am 40 yo, this is my first childbirth, in support of an epidural, would like to avoid c-section.
