About me

Hello, My name is Ashley and I am extremely excited to become your doula if I am so lucky to be chosen. I have extensive knowledge in the medical field and have a degree in Biology from Rutgers University. I believe that every mom should be in charge of her birth process. Although, every birth is unique and some may not go as plan it is important for me as your doula to assist you in any way that I can to make sure you feel empowered, in control, and heard throughout your birthing experience. Once we decide to work together I always like to know a little bit more about my moms and what their dos and donts consist of when in the birthing room. Communicating your needs prior to the birth allows everyone to better understand what you are looking for and how those goals can be met. I am extremely flexible with pricing because I believe quality care for you and your newborn is priceless.I hope to hear from you soon and remember your birth your way.

Frequently asked questions

As a doula can you accompany me to my prenatal visits?

Yes! I prefer going to prenatal visits with you so I know the progression of your birth.

I'm already in my third trimester, is it too late to start looking for a doula?

No! I accept moms up until 1 week prior to the due date.

I heard doulas can be very expensive but I have always wanted a doula at my birth. How much do you charge?

I believe every mom should have the birth she dreamed of. I am very flexible when it comes to payment options. Many moms choose to pay monthly. I do not ask for the full payment until the week of your due date.

I don't like to be touched nor do I want to do any birthing exercises, as a doula how can you assist me?

That's okay! Some moms would prefer to be encourage through words. As a doula, my job is to make sure your birthing plan is met. I can assist you in others ways like getting you water and snacks, help when you may need to use the bathroom or for moms doing this alone(what a warrior!) just a familiar face in the room. You tell me how you want me to help you and I will do everything possible to make sure those needs are met.

I am a VBAC, do you still offer doula services?

Yes! VBAC moms also can benefit from having a doula. Remember every birth is different. As a doula, I want you to give birth feeling strong and in control regardless of previous birth experiences.
