About me

Hi! I’m Annika and I am excited to support you through your pregnancy, birth, and postpartum journey. For as long as I can remember I have been fascinated by pregnancy and birth and I took many opportunities to explore this interest further during my time as a student at the College of Saint Benedict and Saint John’s University. I currently serve as a Public Health Project Coordinator for Scott County, working to promote healthy families. I truly believe that the start to every healthy family is birth, and every family deserves a beautiful and empowering experience, whatever that looks like to them. My goal is to best prepare you through your pregnancy so you have the best chance of having your ideal birth. I will help ensure that you are well informed so you can be your best advocate, and I will advocate for you when I’m asked. My care is comprehensive, evidence based, and rooted in the multitude of education I have received, which is ever ongoing. I hope to build a connection with you and your family that will last long after your birth. I cannot wait to meet you! I serve the West Metro area of the Twin Cities.

Service introduction

As your doula, I provide you and your partner physical, emotional, and educational support. I will prepare you for parenthood during your pregnancy, help you make informed decisions about your birth, assist with positioning during labor, make suggestions for labor progress, help prepare you to feed your baby, and more. I am independently employed and I work for you not your birthing location or medical provider. I will be by your side through shift changes and rotations and my focus will remain solely on you throughout the entire process.
