About me

My name is Aniya Booker, and I am a student doula based in Texas. From a young age, I felt a strong connection to the healthcare field, with aspirations of becoming a nurse specializing in labor and delivery. However, my path took an unexpected turn when I discovered a YouTube video documenting a family's experience with home birth. The profound emotional and spiritual impact of witnessing their journey was a turning point for me, helping me realize that my true calling was to become a midwife. Driven by this revelation, I began pursuing my doula certification and sought mentorship from others in the community who could provide guidance and support on this new path. As a devoted Christian, my faith serves as a cornerstone in both my personal and professional life, guiding my decisions and actions. I am deeply passionate about helping others, whether through small, meaningful acts of kindness or larger, more impactful initiatives. I believe that making a positive difference in the lives of those around me is both fulfilling and essential.
