About me

Holding a Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, Amy has worked specifically with infants and toddlers in the Bay Area for over 20 years as both an educator as well as Preschool Director. Her strong understanding of child and human development, in addition to her life experiences, have taught her that with each family comes a diverse and dynamic ecosystem — each with its own unique needs. As a postpartum doula, Amy offers physical support (cooking, light housekeeping, babycare, preparing sitz baths, etc.); informational support (feeding, babycare skills, context and perspective, information about products and local resources); and emotional support/encouragement for anyone in the family (including non-medical assessment of adults’ postpartum moods and experience, and care for older siblings). Amy views herself as a trusted partner who is dedicated to helping new parents discover the needs of their individual children and families, while helping to smooth the edges of everyday life with a newborn so you can enjoy this special time.

Amy is beyond amazing. She's very experienced and it shows in all the advice she gives us. As new parents, she's done more to teach us how to thrive with our baby than any classes or books could have. Some days we just need someone to look after our son while we catch up on some sleep, and we rest easy knowing he couldn't possibly be in better hands.

Having a newborn baby is one of life's most precious and challenging experiences. During those early sleep-deprived weeks, Amy was absolutely wonderful. Her calm, nurturing presence and wealth of knowledge brought our family so much peace of mind. Amy's expertise in caring for newborns is truly remarkable. She seemed to have an intuitive understanding of exactly what our baby needed, gently soothing and tending to him with the most loving touch. Just as importantly, Amy provided invaluable guidance and support to us as new parents. She taught us tips and techniques with infinite patience, boosting our confidence. Amy celebrated our successes and reassured us through the challenges. Her encouragement meant the world. Amy is more than just an outstanding night nurse - she became a friend to our family. Her warmth and positivity filled our home during those late night hours. We'll be forever grateful for the extraordinary care Amy provided our little one and for giving us the priceless gift of restorative sleep. Amy is truly one of the greats.

Having Amy join us as a postpartum night doula was one of the best decisions we made for our family during the early weeks with our newborn son. The transition into parenthood is filled with joy, challenges, and a steep learning curve. Amy's support during this time was incredibly valuable. Amy provides far more than an extra set of hands at night: she is a wealth of knowledge on child development and parenting an infant, which she always delivers with warmth, patience and kindness. Each night in the months that Amy joined us, I was so relieved to be able to rest knowing that my son was in safe and very capable hands. Amy really felt like part of our family during her time with us and while we are capable of parenting now (thanks to her) - we miss her warm presence in our home! Amy stood out because of her commitment to not just assisting us but educating us as well. She shared valuable insights on parenting and child development, helping us navigate the various stages of our son's growth. She even brought over books related to topics we discussed as extra resources for our learning and extra helpful baby gadgets (a better snot sucker! - ha) Managing a newborn is demanding, but Amy's presence made the newborn phase much more manageable and enjoyable. She didn't just help us survive the nights; she equipped us with the tools and confidence to thrive as new parents. For those considering postpartum support, Amy is an incredible choice who exceeded our high expectations. Her professionalism, kindness, and depth of knowledge were instrumental in our early days of parenting. We are deeply grateful for her help and would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Amy for her invaluable support and care.

Amy is simply amazing and a godsend for our family, she took care of our infant while we are in the middle of moving and also looked after our toddler and dog and we all just adore her so much! Amy is extremely experienced, calm and patient .. she managed to take care of our whole family in the midst of chaos and we are so appreciative and feel so lucky to have found her. Our toddler daughter still asks on a weekly basis when Amy can come back and visit her, she misses playing teacher/student with Amy.

We are very grateful to Amy for the postpartum support with our first baby. Amy became the 3rd most important person in our daughter’s life after mom and dad. She is incredibly knowledgeable and skilled, our daughter immediately felt comforted and soothed in her hands. She went above and beyond offering tips and solutions that work and helping me become more calm and confident as a new mom. I have no hesitation to recommend Amy to any new family. She is awesome!
