About me

Amanda is the owner and founder of Southern Charm Doula Services. She is a Certified Birth and Postpartum Doula, Certified Childbirth Educator, breastfeeding counselor, and pediatric sleep specialist. She is also a health educator, holding various degrees and certifications in the health and wellness field. As an advocate for maternal mental health, she saw a great need for supporting the mothering experience. In 2018, she shifted her career focus from health and wellness, to focus on maternal and infant health and outcomes. She is passionate about supporting families to have their very best birthing and postpartum experience. She has attended over 100 local births and supported over 1,000 families worldwide with her virtual parent coaching and pediatric sleep management support Amanda lives in Navarre, is a military spouse (retired), and mother of three children. Her hobbies include hiking, camping, paddle boarding, piano, and of course family time.

Service introduction

I provide birth/postpartum doula support in-person, and offer virtual parent coaching and pediatric sleep management support. I provide virtual support worldwide for parent coaching and pediatric sleep management. I provide a wide range of sleep support ranging from gentle/normative sleep approaches to more parent-led sleep methods. I specialize in neurodivergent children who struggle with sleep into toddlerhood/adolescence.

Pediatric Sleep Management Support

Sleep can be a big challenge for families with small children. Some babies and toddlers struggle with sleep which affects the whole family. This sleep support is designed for babies 4 months old- 18 years old. Sleep support with Southern Charm Doula Services includes: A one-hour zoom session where we talk about your sleep challenges and sleep goals you have for your child. We will discuss a plan of implementation. You will also receive a written sleep plan to follow as you work through the sleep training process. Lastly, you will receive two weeks of support via text, email, or scheduled calls as you work through the process. My goal is to meet families where they are, providing tailored support to meet the needs of their unique situation.

Birth Doula Support

I offer unwavering support to you and your family before, during, and after birth. Birth doula support includes two prenatal sessions, the attendance of your birth, and one postpartum follow-up visit.

Postpartum Doula Support

Southern Charm Doula Services supports families in all aspects of the parenting experience. Including those times you need a second (or third) set of hands in the first three months of life. Your postpartum doula is focused on helping you get to know your baby, and helping you ease into to your new role. In-Person Postpartum Support Includes: Education Emotional Support Breastfeeding help Referrals to other support Shopping, Cleaning, Organizing Nutritious Meal Prep Infant Care (while parents are sleeping) Care for older children The cost for this support is $25 an hour for days / $30 an hour for nights. *Additional fees for multiples

Having Amanda on my side as my doula for my birth experience was empowering, especially when things started not going according to plan. She helped me advocate for myself throughout the whole process and stayed for the entire 36 hour labor.
