The word Doula means maid servant. The first and most important role of the doula is to serve the laboring woman. When a woman is comfortable, supported, and encouraged she will be able to focus on her work of bringing her baby into this world! There is a specific beauty in women supporting women through pregnancy, birth, and post partum. As a doula, my only desire is to see every woman supported, encouraged, and loved throughout this journey into motherhood. Whether it be for the first time or the tenth! This is not a role to take lightly. Being chosen as the doula for a birth is an absolute privilege! I hope every woman has the birth experience she desires!

I am Cherish Leemon, owner and founder of Cherish Doulaship. I am a biblically minded Christian, military spouse, and mother to three amazing children. My goal with Cherish Doulaship is to serve others the way Jesus Christ has called us to and to bring knowledge and joy back into the birthing space. After experiencing a traumatic birth with my first child, I began to research traumatic birth prevention and educate myself in the birthing process. I didn’t want to birth in fear again. Little did I know this research would propel me into a passionate career as a birth worker. I finished my Birth and Postpartum Doula certifications in 2017 and have continued education by earning a degree in Woman’s Studies with a major in Diversity Studies. As a certified Doula I offer full spectrum care; ranging from childbirth education, bed rest care, pregnancy and birthing comfort measures, breastfeeding education consults, light house work and meal prep, birth processing, and SO MUCH MORE! It is a privilege for people to be allowed into your birthing space. I would love to help you and your family meet your child birthing goals by providing the support you need through evidence-based information, guidance on informed decision making, and advocate education.

For those of you that don't know me, hi! I'm Natasha! & I'm obsessed with birth 😂 I'm a foster mom, I have an 2 year old son 😭, and a pretty cool husband! Ever since I had a traumatic birth & postpartum period with my son, I have become so passionate about mothers & making sure they are able to have the best birthing experience possible. So here we are! I've taken a birth & bereavement doula course, & am DONA and Tricare Certified! I've also documented multiple births & I don't think I've ever been more passionate about something in my life. There's something so incredibly special about watching someone become a mother for the very first time, it's almost like a high I get every single time I witness it! My mission in birth work is to instill something deeper in each and every one of my clients. By the time your babies birthday is here, I want you to feel informed. I want you to feel supported. And I want you to feel empowered. Because you are amazing. & birth is amazing. & women are badasses. I believe that every mother giving birth deserves access to education, resources, & support to ensure they have the birthing experience they envision. Whether you're giving birth at home, in a hospital, natural, medicated, belly, or vaginally, I'm the one who's going to be cheering you on from the sidelines & reminding you that your body was made for this & you can do this! 💓

As a birth and postpartum doula I realize that birthing women need to feel supported and valued, they need to feel heard and comforted. They need to know what is happening with their bodies and babies. I am overwhelmed with the desire to help solve these problems and give these mothers the birth experience and support they were meant to have. I have been so fortunate to have the Father’s hand upon me as I learn and grow, and I rely on Him for every step I take. I have also been so fortunate to have a mother that has served as a doula for over 11 years, along with having over 10 children herself I have been blessed to experience pregnancy and birth in its many varying facetes. The joy that supporting a mother as she brings forth her child into the world is unlike anything else in the world. I want to be apart of the change in the dilapidated birth system and I want to show women that they can have the wonderful birth experience they hope for, and that birth is normal until proven otherwise. I hope to be of service to you

“There is a power that comes to women when they give birth. They don’t ask for it, it simply invades them. Accumulates like clouds on the horizon and passes through, carrying the child with it.” — Sheryl Feldman Hey, y’all! My name is Jade! I’m married to my best friend and together we have two of the sweetest little nuggets. I’m a homesteader, home baker, and stay at home mama when I’m not doing birth-y things. I am a ProDoula Certified Labor Doula. I’ve felt a passion and calling to birth work for the past 3.5 years following a long and difficult birth with my oldest child. I labored for 38 hours and endured a cascade of unwanted interventions, with the exception of a caesarean, in the process. I had a wonderful support system in my husband & family, but I left the hospital mourning the picture perfect birth I had been playing on a loop in my head for the few months leading up to my son’s birth. I couldn’t help but feel that things could have gone more smoothly if I had been more educated on the process of birth and all that it entails. It was through this that I also realized the need for consistent, educated, evidence based support in birth and postpartum. The thought of giving birth again without the support I did have, terrified me and the reality set in for me that so many expectant parents do not have access to even basic support that can be so crucial to the way new parents remember their birth experiences. From then on, I dove head first into research. Birth became almost an obsession. I read, listened to, and watched every piece of birth related material I could get my hands on for months. As time passed and I felt more educated, the more those regretful feelings I harbored regarding my child’s birth seemed to dissipate. I learned early on in my research about doulas & how beneficial they are to all aspects of birth and wondered why I had never heard of them before. Just then, the Creator yelled straight into my heart & I knew in that moment that birthwork, specifically doula work, was where I was meant to be. Just before my youngest’s first birthday, I had the opportunity to attend my first doula workshop and I immediately jumped headfirst into the doula life. I’ve supported several families thus far on my journey to help better birth experiences & it’s an absolute honor to be included in such a sacred and life changing moment, every single time. I’m beyond thrilled to be immersed in this work and helping families use their voices (even if they shake) to advocate for what’s right for them, birth the way they choose, and help smooth the transition into parenthood along the way.
